What is the best sports floor?
The best sports floor for your facility will depend on the type of sports you are engaged in and your specific needs. We offer various safe, durable sports flooring solutions at Perfect Surfaces.
For baseball and softball, we recommend VersaTREAD rubber rolls, VersaRUBBER® mats, DuraRUBBER® mats, and GatorFIT® artificial turf, while combat sports are best suited to our RivalMATS line of vinyl-bonded foam rollout mats. If a field sport is your aspiration, look no further than GatorFIT® synthetic field turf. Can you install rubber flooring over tiles or carpets?
YES! Our rubber floors are designed to be installed over hard surfaces such as concrete, wood, compacted dirt, and yes, even tile or carpet. Installing Perfect Surfaces sports floors over carpet or tile is possible; however, the options are limited. Directly over carpet, products such as VersaRUBBER® and GatorSHOCK® can work. Another option would be to install a plywood substrate, opening up the possibility of using the majority of our products!
How do I maintain my sports floors?
Proper maintenance of your athletic flooring is important for enhanced longevity and performance. Cleaning the floors regularly to remove dust, dirt, and sweat that can degrade the floor’s finish and traction is vital. Cleaning products like our CleanBreak Cleaner & Degreaser will help to rejuvenate the rubber floor, making it look as fresh and new as the day it was installed!
When cleaning your rubber floors, DO NOT use petroleum or citrus-based products, including solvents, adhesives, or sealants. Monitor the floor for signs of wear or damage, such as scratches or dents. Prompt repair of these issues can prevent further damage and increase longevity.
