When considering a sports court, different questions probably come to mind. Choosing the best flooring for your court is key to performance and longevity. What Types of Sports Court Flooring are available?

The two main sports court flooring options available at Perfect Surfaces are sports court tiles and sports court planks. The most common question pertaining to sports court surfacing options is “are sports court surfaces durable?”-  the answer is YES! Perfect Surfaces permanent and temporary sport court tiles- SnapGRID® LX2, SnapGRID® ST, and SnapGRID® XXL- are all durable, slip-resistant, low maintenance, and offer great bounce-back and overall performance in multipurpose courts. Each DIY-friendly sport court tile option features an interlocking design that makes it easy to install for even the most novice DIY-er.

What about sports flooring planks?

Click-in-place sport court planks boast a traditional wood appearance but are manufactured using low-maintenance, durable rubber. Low-maintenance SnapGRID® WP rubber sport court planks are an economical wood-look option when compared to the upfront cost and long-term maintenance required to care for hardwood or pad-and-pour sports floors. Available in three neutral wood tones, portable WP wood grain-look planks can be customized with logos and game lines to suit any commercial sports facility or residential athletic space. Easy to install SnapGRID® WP interlocking sport court planks are anti-slip, anti-fatigue, impact resistant and provide exceptional rebound rates for ball bounce in any sport.

What is the Difference Between Indoor and Outdoor Court Flooring?

Indoor/outdoor sports court tiles and planks perform differently in different environments. Indoor courts do not require as much maintenance and are not exposed to the elements like an outdoor court may be. Perfect Surfaces sport court tiles are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions without compromising quality or performance thanks to features like self-drainage, XpandBAND and GatorSKIN. Perfect Surfaces’ versatile SnapGRID® LX2 and SnapGRID® XXL are both designed to be used indoors and outdoors.

How do you add game lines to a court?

There are different ways to add game lines to your sports court. While you may choose to paint the court yourself, the best way is to let our team of professionals handle it for the most professionally finished result. The fabrication team at Perfect Surfaces is skilled in designing customized sports courts that can include a variety of game lines, logos, and specific colors to make them stand out. Contact our specialists today for more information.

What is the Best Subfloor for Court Flooring?

The best subfloor will depend entirely on the sports court product selected. SnapGRID® ST and SnapGRID® LX2 outdoor sport court tiles are designed to be installed over a smooth, even substrate (like concrete or XXL tiles); however, SnapGRID® XXL outdoor court tiles are uniquely manufactured for installation over compacted gravel as a concrete alternative. Large format SnapGRID® XXL temporary sport tiles are an excellent choice for outdoor courts, are DIY-friendly, and are easy to install. Portable XXL temporary floor tiles are also ideal for use in travelling and temporary event flooring.

What are the Benefits of Court Flooring?

Perfect Surfaces’ court flooring products are durable, DIY-friendly, and provide impact and shock resistance that protects athlete’s joints from injury. SnapGRID® LX2 and SnapGRID® XXL tiles also provide slip resistance and easy drainage- making them a great option for outdoor sport court flooring.
